  • 1 pound sirloin steak (cut into 1 ½ – inch cubes)
  • 1 pound large shrimp (de-veined, shells removed with tail on)
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted)
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon parsley (finely chopped)
  • Juice and zest of 1 small lemon
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons kosher salt (divided)

Instructions

  1. Make the garlic butter by combining melted butter, minced garlic, parsley, lemon zest, and salt in a bowl; set aside.
  2. In another bowl, toss the steak cubes and shrimp with olive oil, garlic powder, and 1 teaspoon kosher salt.
  3. Thread the steak and shrimp onto skewers alternately. If using wooden skewers, soak them for an hour prior.
  4. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  5. Grill the skewers for about 3-4 minutes on each side until they reach desired doneness.
  6. Brush generously with garlic butter before serving; garnish with additional parsley.
