  • 1 pre-made pie crust
  • 1 pound large Gulf shrimp, peeled and chopped
  • ½ cup onion, finely chopped
  • ½ cup celery, finely chopped
  • ½ cup red bell pepper, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
  • Shredded white cheddar cheese and Parmesan for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Roll out the pre-made pie crust into a 9-inch pie pan and pre-bake for about 10 minutes until slightly golden.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, sauté onion, celery, and red bell pepper in butter for 3-4 minutes until tender.
  4. Add minced garlic and Old Bay seasoning; cook for another minute before adding shrimp until they turn pink.
  5. Stir in flour to thicken, then whisk in heavy cream and whole milk until thickened. Mix in shredded cheese until melted.
  6. Pour the shrimp mixture into the prepared crust evenly.
  7. Top with panko breadcrumbs mixed with melted butter and grated Parmesan cheese.
  8. Bake for about 25-30 minutes or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
