  3. Heat the mixture over medium heat until it reaches a rolling boil.
  4. Reduce heat and let simmer for at least 30 minutes while stirring occasionally.
  5. Blend if desired for a smoother texture.
  6. Test for setting using a candy thermometer (220°F) or the frozen plate method.
  7. Fill sterilized jars with hot jam and seal tightly.
  8. Invert jars overnight to create a vacuum seal.
