  • 8 oz spaghetti (or any pasta of choice)
  • 1 lb fresh shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley and basil for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve some pasta water before draining.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
  3. Add shrimp to the skillet, season with salt, pepper, and cayenne pepper. Cook until shrimp turn pink (about 3-4 minutes).
  4. Pour in the heavy cream and stir well to combine. Allow it to simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Toss in the cooked pasta and mix thoroughly, adding reserved pasta water as needed for desired consistency.
  6. Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley and basil.
