  • Red food coloring (a few drops)
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream (for whipped cream)

  • 1 tbsp fine granulated sugar (for whipped cream)
  • ½ cup light corn syrup (for sugar blood)
  • ½ cup water (for sugar blood)
  • 1 cup fine granulated sugar (for sugar blood)
  • Red gel food coloring (for sugar blood)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, whip together heavy cream, vanilla extract, and sugar until stiff peaks form. Set aside.
  2. In a saucepan over medium-low heat, combine whole milk, heavy cream, vanilla extract, chopped white chocolate, and mini chocolate chips. Stir until melted; add red food coloring for color.
  3. Serve hot chocolate in mugs topped generously with whipped cream.
  4. In a small saucepan, mix corn syrup, water, and sugar. Heat on medium without stirring until it reaches 300°F (hard crack stage) on a candy thermometer. Once done, remove from heat and stir in red gel food coloring.
  5. Quickly dip clean glass rims into the sugar blood mixture to coat them. Set them upright to let any excess drip off before serving your Vampire Hot Chocolate with style!
