  • 500g chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1/2 tsp chili flakes (optional)
  • 3 cups cooked white rice

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, toss chicken with soy sauce, cornstarch, and sesame oil until well-coated.
  2. Heat a wok or large pan over medium-high heat, add the chicken mixture, and cook until browned (5-7 minutes). Remove from the pan.
  3. In the same pan, stir-fry minced garlic, grated ginger, and sliced peppers for about 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp.
  4. Return the chicken to the pan, add the combined sauce ingredients (soy sauce, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, honey, chili flakes), and stir until everything is evenly coated.
  5. Serve warm over cooked white rice, garnished with chopped green onions.
