Ingredients

  • Chicken breast strips
  • Green bell peppers
  • Red bell peppers
  • Onion slices
  • Garlic cloves
  • Soy sauce
  • Chili flakes
  • Sesame oil
  • White rice
  • Water
  • Salt

Instructions

  1. Rinse 1 cup of white rice under cold water and combine it with 2 cups of water and a pinch of salt in a rice cooker or pot. Cook until fluffy.
  2. While the rice cooks, heat 2 tablespoons of sesame oil in a wok over medium-high heat. Add 3 minced garlic cloves and stir until fragrant.
  3. Add 1 pound of chicken breast strips to the wok, cooking until golden brown on all sides.
  4. Toss in 1 sliced onion and 1 each of sliced green and red bell pepper. Stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are slightly crisp.
  5. Pour in 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, sprinkle with chili flakes (to taste), and mix well to coat everything evenly.
  6. Serve the stir-fry hot over the steamed rice.
