  1. Preheat the oven to 95°C (200°F).
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat egg whites until firm peaks form.
  3. Gradually add sugar while continuing to beat until glossy and stiff.
  4. Mix in vanilla extract and vinegar (or lemon juice).
  5. Pipe small ghost shapes onto parchment-lined baking sheets.
  6. Bake for 90–120 minutes until dry and easily lifted off the parchment.
  7. Allow to cool completely before decorating with a black edible marker.
