  • 8 oz egg noodles or your preferred pasta
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season chicken with salt, pepper, and thyme.
  2. Sear the chicken for 5-6 minutes per side until golden brown. Ensure it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C). Remove and let rest.
  3. Boil salted water in a large pot and cook noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain, reserving some pasta water.
  4. In the same skillet used for chicken, lower heat to medium and melt butter while scraping any bits from the pan.
  5. Sauté minced garlic for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  6. Add chicken broth and let simmer for 3-4 minutes, then stir in heavy cream and simmer until slightly thickened.
  7. Toss cooked noodles into the skillet until evenly coated with sauce; add reserved pasta water if needed.
  8. Return sliced chicken to the skillet, mix everything well, adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.
  9. Serve hot garnished with parsley.
