  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon apple pie spice
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ cup melted butter (for coating)
  • ½ cup sugar (for coating)
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon (for coating)

Instructions

  1. Reduce apple cider in a saucepan over medium heat for about 20-30 minutes until halved and thickened. Let cool.
  2. Preheat your oven to 350°F and grease a 9×5 loaf pan.
  3. In a mixing bowl, cream together butter and brown sugar using an electric mixer until fluffy.
  4. Beat in the egg and vanilla until combined.
  5. Stir in the dry ingredients and cooled apple cider until just combined—do not overmix!
  6. Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for approximately 50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Cool in the pan for 15 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack. Brush with melted butter and coat with cinnamon sugar.
